Even if you don’t keep up with every episode of TLC’s addicting reality show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, you’ve probably still been charmed by the sassy lil’ pageant queen, Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo herself. Alana’s family is equally as loveable, so when we heard that they’d been in a major car accident on Monday (January 6), we were seriously worried!
Immediately after the accident, we learned the entire family was injured, with an assortment of bruises, headaches, sprains, and (in Pumpkin’s case) panic attacks. Mama June must have known that fans were losing sleep over the status of the family’s health, so she took to social media to give us all an update.
“Update: Alana’s headaches are gone and she is doing better..” June begins her post. “As for me, Mama June, I'm still very sore with my head and back … Pumpkin is still having difficulty with her chest bruising and now is having severe headaches … Sugar Bear’s back is still sore.”
Yikes! Three days later and it sounds like things haven’t improved much, though we’re glad to hear that 8-year-old Alana is doing better!
As June continues her post, it’s clear that the fierce mama is most worried about her family’s recovery — not the legal implications or car damage from the collision.
“[We] will be getting checked again in a couple days to be on the protective side,” she shares. “I hope the other driver is okay and this will be over soon. All I am truly concerned with right now is getting my family, especially the kids (Pumpkin), pain-free — and me and Sugar Bear too.”
And if you had any doubt that June is putting her family first, she’ll stop you right there. “As y'all know my kids and family are my life and I hate to see any of them suffer. Nothing else matters. But for people wondering, the car is repairable but not my concern right now..”
Forget the car, you’ve got some precious cargo there! Keep taking it easy and feel better!
