Carole Radziwill on Ramona Singer’s Divorce: “I Was Surprised”

We were all shocked with the announcement last month that Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer has filed for divorce from husband Mario after 22 years of marriage. And it sounds as though Ramona's RHoNY co-stars are taken aback as well, including Carole Radziwill.

Carole tells Us Weekly that she did not see Ramona and Mario's split coming, although she doesn't want to go into too much detail. "You know, I’m not going to say anything other than I always enjoyed Ramona and Mario’s company," Carole says. "So, of course, as any friend, I was surprised."

"They were together 25 years, more than most couples," Carole continues. "I'm sure Ramona will do what's best for her family."

So how does Carole feel about the rumors that Mario was cheating? "As for what caused [the divorce], I spent most of my adult life in a family that was gossiped about more than any family on the planet," Carole says. "I don’t believe anything I hear and only half of what I see with my very own eyes. More people should adhere to that philosophy." No arguments here.

Last week, Ramona addressed the split on Twitter. "This has been the most difficult time in my life, but when I see so many messages of love & support, it gives me a much needed smile #Thankful," Ramona tweets.

How do you feel about Carole's reaction?
