Caroline Manzo Says Goodbye to Beloved Dog

Super sad news, you guys. Caroline Manzo's Christmas got dosed with a serious bummer when her beloved doggie passed away. The Real Housewives of New Jersey matriarch took to Twitter to mourn her loss and share a photo of her four-legged, furry friend, perched on Santa Claus's lap.

"RIP my beautiful little puppy, you were so loved. Santa has a new sidekick - xoxo," Caroline wrote.

Caroline's son, Albie, responded to her post by re-tweeting it and asking, "Santa's dead too?!?!"

Despite his little joke, Albie is just as moved as his mom about losing the little pup from his life. He later went on his Twit Longer page to write a story about the day the family first got the dog.

"We got Austin when I was in 6th grade. I remember the day perfectly," he began, going on to explain that Austin came into his life the first year that they moved from Wayne to Franklin Lakes. Albie then opened up about how he didn't have the best time in school at that time and how Austin helped him tremendously.

"Austin meant a lot to me. I'm 27 years old and well aware of how dumb that makes me sound, but he did. He was my first friend when I got home from Frost Valley," he explained, in reference to a camp he attended, adding, "No matter how my day was, he was there just kind of waiting to hang out. Hanging out at home always made me forget the other stuff, that's why I did it so often and loved it so much and he fit in perfect."

"It's a tough day for me cuz I didn't lose a dog I lost a piece of what has always kept me smiling over the years," Albie concluded.

Austin lived a long and happy life (he was over 17 years old), but it's always so sad to say goodbye to a pet. We're sending lots of hugs to the Manzo clan!
