Caroline Manzo Leaving The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Season 5 — Confirmed!
UPDATE: It's official: During Part 2 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 5 reunion show on October 13, Caroline Manzo confirmed what we'd pretty much known for a while. She is not returning to the show. Caroline writes on her official blog that she and Bravo have had "numerous" conversations about her future on the show, and she says that they "accept and understand where I'm coming from."
What's more, Caroline says that she and her family are having an "absolute blast" filming their new Bravo spin-off show. So she and her family aren't leaving for good. "We didn't close the book," she writes, "we just turned the page."
Original story: After news broke of Caroline Manzo’s Bravo spin-off, Manzo’d With Children, fans have been wondering if the ginger matriarch would be returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for the show’s sixth season.
Now sources tell Us Weekly that Season 5 will be Caroline’s last. The feisty mom will be focusing on her spin-off show, which has already started filming a pilot episode.
Caroline has been a member of the cast since the show started in 2009, but certainly isn’t the first to make an exit. Reality stars Danielle Staub and Caroline’s sister Dina Manzo have also parted ways with the show in seasons past.
Season 6 of RHoNJ is has already started filming, according to Wetpaint Entertainment’s sources. Much of the show’s upcoming season will focus on Teresa Giudice and her current legal situation (the Giudices are charged with 39 counts of federal fraud and facing up to 50 years in prison).
Caroline has yet to make an official statement on whether or not she’ll be back on the show, but stay tuned to Wetpaint Entertainment for the latest on this situation.
