Carrie Ann Inaba Responds to Brooke Burke’s Firing: “I Was Floored”

The cast announcement for Dancing With the Stars Season 18 is just a few days away — we'll find out who's dancing on March 4 on Good Morning America — and most of the DWTS chatter right now is about who might be hitting the ballroom. However, we all know one familiar face who won't be coming back: Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be returning as co-host. How does judge Carrie Ann Inaba feel about the change? Well, she certainly didn't see it coming.

"I was floored," Carrie Ann told E! when asked about her response to finding out Brooke had been axed. Carrie Ann added that, of course, change like this is all part of showbiz, but that didn't stop her from being "shocked and saddened" by the news.

Carrie Ann also weighed in on what she thinks Erin Andrews will be like as the show's newest co-host.

"I think it's going to change the vibe of the show a little bit," Carrie dished. She added that Erin is "really tough" and will probably end up pushing some buttons, which would certainly be a change from Brooke's all sweetness, all the time approach to the job.

Were you as shocked as Carrie Ann? Let us know in the comments below!
