‘DWTS’ Judge Carrie Ann Inaba Ends Engagement to Robb Derringer After 9 Months
It’s over for Carrie Ann Inaba and Robb Derringer.
Fans began questioning the status of their relationship after the reality star shared a cryptic Instagram post just a few days ago.
The 49-year-old shared a photo with the quote, “Just when I think I’ve learned the way to live, life changes."
She also included the prayer and broken heart emojis in the caption, which was posted on September 7.
The dancer recently hosted an event for figure skater and former DWTS contestant Kristi Yamaguchi in Hawaii and she wasn't wearing her engagement ring.
She was also joined by her mother and shared a photo of the duo by the beach.
“Mom and I, putting our feet in the ocean before I leave the islands,” she captioned the snap.
Robb previously admitted he thought their relationship would be forever after their first date last year.
"I knew after our first romantic date, that if she felt for me what I felt for her, then it was something that was going to be significant and life changing and lasting,” he told People after they got engaged.
"There was just a powerful and palpable sense of destiny that I could not deny."
The brunette beauty also felt the strong connection and knew their relationship would be something special.
"As a young girl, I had always dreamed about going on a date like the first date I shared with Robb,” she confessed.
"Somehow, he instinctively knew what that was and went to great lengths to surprise me with the most romantic night ever.
She continued, “I could see then how pure of heart he was and how generous and caring his soul was.”
And, despite it being a first date, they even talked about marriage.
"Everything about the evening felt so 'right'. There was an ease and an authentic familiarity. We talked about everything under the stars ... even marriage,” she continued.
“There was a strong sense of destiny that night, and I think I knew then, deep in my heart, that he and I were going to be together forever."
We know you can get through this tough time, Carrie Ann. We’re rooting for you!
