Would Carrie Underwood Make A Good Coach On The Voice? Sound Off!
Despite Sound Of Music-Gate, Carrie Underwood’s star continues to be on the rise. The gorgeous country singer doesn’t show any signs of slowing down in her career, so would she ever consider judging a reality show … and, more specifically, The Voice?
You might not recall, but the “Jesus Take The Wheel” singer said last year she’d actually like to be a judge on acid-tongued Simon Cowell’s show The X Factor. But she admits she might not have the guts to crush someone’s dream of pursuing music.
“I’d never say never. I think I could do things in a very constructive way. But those initial auditions, where you have to say no or tell someone to stop? I don’t know if I could do that,” she said during an interview with Glamour magazine. But with The Voice, she wouldn’t have to worry about those cringe-worthy auditions! Everyone who makes it to the Blind Auditions is usually pretty good.
While we’re not sure if The Voice producers are even considering a shakeup in those swivel chairs, we can’t help but think Carrie would make a great addition. The thing we like most about this idea is the fact that she’d give Blake Shelton a run for his money in the country genre. For five seasons, Blake has nearly always been the go-to choice for coach for those wanting to go down that country road. It makes sense for folks to do this but, then again, what would they do if Carrie were to swivel? Things that make you go hmmm, no?
And, with Shakira representing for the Latin genre and Christina Aguilera snagging many of the pop and soul-oriented singers, Carrie could sure make it interesting.
What do you think of the idea? Would you like to see Carrie become a judge on The Voice? Sound off in the comments!
