Carrie Underwood and Husband Mike Fisher Stopped For Speeding

It’s no Reese Witherspoon-gate, but American Idol golden girl Carrie Underwood and her hubby, NHL hockey player Mike Fisher, recently got pulled over for speeding. She took to Twitter to make a lighthearted joke about her main squeeze, saying, “Ok... so, Mr. ‘I’m gonna start a driving school in Nashville’ just got us pulled over for going 56 in a 45. Just sayin.”

Mike, who had previously bragged about his driving prowess on Twitter, had his excuse at the ready, and it was of the “dog ate my homework” variety.

As he said, “Not my fault Ace had to pee!” Ace is the couple’s pooch.

Perhaps he’ll be a little more of a lightfoot when the couple is expecting a baby, but the country superstar said recently that won’t happen for a few more years.

When not poking fun at her husband, Carrie is a true altruist, standing up as an advocate for abused animals and, most recently, donating $1 million dollars to the American Red Cross to help with the recovery of her native Oklahoma.

Is this scandalous or what?!
