Casey Kasem Missing, Friends and Family Blame ‘Horrible’ Wife — Report (VIDEO)

Update (May 15, 2014):

Casey Kasem has officially been found! According to People, Casey was located in Washington state, and his children are ready to bring him back to LA as soon as possible, and a hearing has been scheduled for June 20 for updates on Casey’s health.

“We are grateful to the local authorities for finding my dad,” Kerri, Casey’s daughter, said. “We are one step closer to bringing him home.”

Original Story (May 13, 2014):

Casey Kasem, the “American Top 40” radio DJ who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, disappeared from his hospital room sometime around May 6. Casey’s friends and family are now placing the blame of his disappearance on his wife, Jean Kasem.

THR is reporting that Jean, an actress who is most known for her role as a trophy wife on “Cheers,” was scheduled to appear in court regarding the incident, but she did not show up. Her attorney later filed a statement which said Casey’s children “falsely claim that their stepmother is wicked and is keeping her husband prisoner.”

His children, however, are not convinced.

"We had a wonderful visit with him Tuesday at Berkley East Convalescent Hospital — he was thriving there — and she yanked him out of there after hours," Casey’s daughter Julie Kasem said to THR.

"We're scared," says Julie’s brother Mouner Kasem. "Is he getting the care he needs?"

And Chuck Olsen, Casey Kasem’s close friend for 60 years, added, "Poor Casey is suffering, and probably dying. It's bizarre."

Even Casey’s first wife, Linda Myers Naylor, is suspicious of Jean.

"This horrible woman, he's literally afraid of her," Linda said.

Casey’s children are currently hoping more information will surface and someone will be able to tell them where their father is.
