Once Upon a Time Cast Reveals Their Favorite Disney Characters — And Some May Shock You! (VIDEO)

On a show like Once Upon a Time that is rooted in magic and fairy tales, it’s no surprise that the cast has strong opinions about their favorite Disney tales. Though we’ve all speculated at their favorites, it wasn’t until Crave Online caught up with the stars at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend that we knew for sure.

Everyone (and we mean everyone) that was at the OUAT panel dished who they most identified with as a kid, and you may be surprised at what some of the cast members had to say. In fact, the co-creators weighed in, too, and we were most shocked by one of their answers...

Read on to see what everyone had to say, then check out the video below to see their extended reasonings behind the tough choices!

Robert Carlyle (Rumplestiltskin): Dopey, because he was five years old when he saw it and will never forget the film. Aww!

Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White): Herself, for the “most shallow of reasons” — hair color! She says it was a dream come true to play Snow, and she even dressed up as her the Halloween before landing the role. If that’s not fate, we don’t know what is.

Lana Parrilla (Regina): Ursula, because she’s “always liked dark characters.” She admired the evil one’s “awesome voice” and the way she moved that “big body” around, but she loves Ariel, too. Why? Lana always wanted to be turned into a fish because she loved the water so much.

Jennifer Morrison (Emma): “Close tie between Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland,” because she was a “bookish kid,” yet wanted “new, exciting adventures.”

Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook): Hansel., because he likes his “fairy tales dark and sort of gruesome, and it doesn’t get much more gruesome than putting a witch in the oven.”

Emilie de Ravin (Belle): Pippi Longstockings. Why? Because she’s adorable!

Josh Dallas (Prince Charming): This one was a little weird. He mentioned Bambi since it was the first Disney film he ever saw, but admitted he didn’t watch a lot of them. Ultimately, he exclaimed, “God, I don’t know... Pinocchio!”

Michael Raymond-James (Nealfire): “Peter Pan really hit me as a kid,” he dished. “I loved the story. It’s no fun growing up, you know what I mean?”

Eddy Kitsis (Co-Creator): He agreed with Michael! “Peter Pan, because he never had to grow old,” he dished, loving the “place of imagination.”

Adam Horowitz (Co-Creator): Brace yourself, Oncers — Adam identified with Snow White as a kid! She was a “big inspiration for doing show in the first place” and made him grasp the concept of magic.
