Grey’s Anatomy Cast Reveals Where Their Characters Will Be in Episode 300

This week, the Grey’s Anatomy cast hit a major milestone: their 200th episode. We love that the show has stuck around for ten heart-stopping seasons, sucking us back in every year for better or for worse.

So where will our favorite characters be another hundred episodes from now? The Hollywood Reporter sat down with the cast to find out where they predict their fictional counterparts will be in episode 300, and while many of them didn’t want to think that far ahead, some have a good idea of where they hope to see their character down the line.

Among the less optimistic? Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) and Patrick Dempsey (Derek Shepherd), who both refused to be presumptuous enough to make that call. “I don't know that Meredith will be here for 300 because we have no control over the storylines, so I try not to think about it,” Ellen said.

As for Patrick? He agreed that they “can’t think that far down the road” — as did Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang) and Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres).

Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) has a far more sunny outlook on the show’s future. “I wouldn't be surprised if you saw season 20 of Grey's,” she said. “Everybody still loves coming to work.” Now that we can get behind.

But Justin Chambers has Alex Karev’s future all planned out for him. “He should be a very good doctor; maybe do something in pediatrics that will revolutionize medicine,” Justin said. “I'd like him to have more of a sense of self and self-security. To know who he is and how he handles relationships. I think he's one of the characters on the show who's really seen the light.” We agree!

And of all their answers, we think we like Chandra Wilson’s (Miranda Bailey) best.

“They're going to have to get a forklift and security in order to get me off this lot,” she said, laughing.
