Fifty Shades of Grey Casting: Rita Ora to Play Christian Grey’s Sister
Rita Ora’s career is pretty hot right now! The UK singer-songwriter has landed a role in the highly anticipated film adaptation of E.l. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The “R.I.P.” singer, who is better known stateside as Rob Kardashian’s ex-girlfriend, will be playing Christian’s adopted sister, Mia.
If you’re like us, you’re saying, “Wait, Christian Grey has a sister?” We have to admit we’re still a little fuzzy on the actual plot of Fifty Shades of Grey. In the book, Mia is described as very outgoing and multitalented (she plays the cello and is an excellent chef due to her time spent in Paris).
While Rita shares her characters talent for music, she will have to make some changes to her physical appearance if she’d to stay true to her character’s book description. Mia’s hair is in a dark bob, while RIta has long, platinum locks.
This isn’t Rita’s first act job, though definitely the highest profile one so far. Most recently she had a small, uncredited role as a racer in Fast & Furious 6, starring the late Paul Walker. She will likely join her castmates Jamie Dornan (Christian) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) for filming soon in Vancouver, BC
