We may have to wait until sometime in September to see the lovely Stana Katic back in action on Castle, but now that her upcoming movie, CBGB, has an official release date, we can prepare accordingly for a double dose of Stana in the fall!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the flick will be released during the CBGB Music Festival, which runs from Oct. 9-13 in New York City. Stana, of course, appears in the film as American rock singer Genya Ravan, and the movie also stars Justin Bartha, Malin Ackerman, Ashley Greene, and others.
XLrator Media has acquired the U.S. rights to distribute the film, and that company’s CEO — Barry Gordon — has faith that the flick will be a critical and commercial success. “CBGB is one of the most iconic and authentic names in music history, and Randy’s extraordinary film is a raucously entertaining celebration of the music and artists that have defined the culture for decades,” he explains.
Furthermore, he also believes that CBGB will appeal to a large audience, reasoning, “CBGB is the rare film that will resonate with teens, millennials, and legacy fans alike. The whole family can jump in the mosh pit together for this one!”
