Between fighting crime and proposing to his lady love, Kate Beckett, Richard Castle found time to write another novel about his one and only muse. The latest addition to the Nikki Heat series is called Deadly Heat, and it’s scheduled to be released on September 17, 2013.

Penned of course by fictional mystery writer “Richard Castle,” Deadly Heat picks up right where the series’ previous instalment, Frozen Heat, left off.

According to an advanced copy of press release from ABC obtained exclusively by Wetpaint Entertainment, Deadly Heat will feature “Nikki on the hunt for the elusive former CIA station chief who ordered the execution of her mother more than a decade ago. Nikki will stop at nothing and is determined to find justice for her mother.”

And just like the previous Nikki Heat novels, this one will will also team Nikki up with “her ruggedly handsome romantic partner, Pulitzer Prize – winning investigative journalist Jameson Rook.”

Hmm, this sure does sound awfully familiar!

Nikki and Jameson happen to uncover “an alarming terror plot” during their investigation, which could put both of them in grave danger. Throw in a serial killer who begins menacing the Twentieth Precinct and you’ve got the makings of another great Nikki Heat novel!

Deadly Heat ($26.99) will be available for purchase on September 17. Will you be picking up a copy?
