Deep breaths everybody — it looks like this Caskett wedding is finally going to happen! Sure, Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) and Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion)’s engagement hasn’t actually been that long, but the Castle couple made us wait all of those years while their chemistry slowly came to a boil. Now we’re ready to see them make it official!

And according to a new scoop from TV Guide, the long-awaited day is finally in sight. In the upcoming January 27 episode, Beckett revisits her past as a model — remember her teen modeling years? At that time, she runs into an old acquaintance from the fashion industry, Modern Fashion magazine editor Matilda King (Frances Fisher). (You may recognize Frances as Rose’s mother from Titanic.)

We’re not sure what Matilda’s role in the ep is, but we do know one important thing: she gets her to try on a couture wedding gown from a runway show! This is one seriously stunning dress — click through at the link below to see Kate in this gorgeous gown.

Luke Reichle, Castle’s costume designer, says that the gown was created with re-embroidered French silver bullion lace and a skirt of silk taffeta and organza. He admits that if you were to recreate the look, it would cost more than $30K! Hopefully this pricey piece won’t go to waste (hint hint, nudge nudge).

There’s still no word on a wedding date for our beloved Caskett, but Stana did have a rather anticlimactic theory for how it will actually happen. "There's got to be some espionage stunt that screws up the wedding and leads them to city hall to just get it over with," she tells the pub. "They are constantly living on the edge, and their wedding day should be no different."

Oh, come on! Beckett and Castle deserve better than city hall — plus, city hall elopements are a little overdone on TV these days. Hopefully, the show’s writers have something more exciting in store for the nuptials. Plus, this is one couple that’s too good looking to not get an equally eye-catching gown and tux for their big day.
