Season 5 has brought us some of the most entertaining and giggle-inducing Castle episodes yet. We're still laughing out loud after last night's epic space odyssey in Episode 6, "The Final Frontier." Kate Beckett in cosplay gear? That's one sight we never want to unsee.

And according to show creator Andrew Marlowe, the fun will only continue as we soar through November sweeps!

"We are going to be jumping into 'Swan Song,' which is a really fun episode," Marlowe told Wetpaint Entertainment in an exclusive interview. "Some folks are shooting a documentary on a rock band when the lead guitarist shows up dead, and suddenly, Castle and Beckett walk into somebody else's documentary. The episode is shot documentary style, and all of our characters get a chance to relate directly to the audience, basically talking into the camera."

Does that mean we'll be privy to Kate Beckett's innermost thoughts? Not so much. Turns out our girl K-Becks is a bit camera shy, and spends much of the episode hiding from producers. Rick Castle, on the other hand, is relishing his moment in the spotlight.

But the fun really centers around Detective Ryan's crime-solving sidekick, Javier Esposito, who becomes the "biggest ham of them all."

"It's a really fun transformation to watch, and Jon Huertas, he's never been better," Marlowe gushes. "He played it so well. We're really excited about that episode."

For both Marlowe and the actors, filming "Swan Song" was an enjoyable departure from the crime procedural norm.

"After doing 87, 88 episodes, to be able to play with the form a little bit and bring in a different kind of storytelling, that was a lot of fun for us," he shares.

And we have no doubt the fun will translate to us — especially with Detective Esposito behind the microphone
