We've waited years for them to share their first real kiss, but if Castle fan @mcarisse had it her way, Castle and Beckett would be engaged by now!

When we last left our lovebirds in the Season 4 finale, they were headed into — ahem — the bedroom. But in this Castle fan’s fake newspaper announcement, they’ll be headed down the aisle soon!

“[Richard Castle’s] most popular series include the Derrick Storm novels and Nikki Heat books, about a tough New York City cop based on his now-fiancee, Kate Beckett,” the fake engagement announcement reads.

We have to say, this fake newspaper clipping looks surprisingly real, and if it were, we wouldn’t be too opposed to it!

Come on, they’re headed in that direction anyway. Why not just speed up the process and save us the wait?
