“Kill Shot” wasn’t exactly the most Caskett-heavy episode thus far this season.
With a homeless, maniacal shooter tearing up the city streets and Beckett out to lunch for most of the episode (in the metaphorical, lost-her-marbles sense — not like she was actually out to eat), we’re surprised we made any headway in the relationship department.
However, as Stana Katic (Beckett) teased more than once, Beckett’s epic craziness last night wasn’t for naught. As we saw in the final scene, Miss Beckett said she’s finally ready to tackle the ghost of her mother’s murder so she can move on to the one even bigger fish she has to fry: Rick Castle.

4. ''He Has the Most Incredible ...''
Who let the flirt out? Beckett gets all kind of sassy on Castle when he asks her who called. “It’s personal,” she says, before revealing it was a man named Roger (a name Castle instantly mocks).
She also reveals that this new guy has something other men don’t: an “incredible” resistance band.
Turns out Roger is Beckett’s physical therapist — but the way she teased Castle? Priceless!
We love how she occasionally reminds him that he’s not the only man on the planet. (Honestly, sometimes we think he forgets.) You go, girl!
3. Castle Comforts Beckett
Not only does a distressed Rick take Beckett aside after meeting with the Captain to assure her her “startle response” at the crime scene “could happen to anybody,” he continues to ask around for advice on how to treat her the entire eppy.
His concern is like, too cute. He doesn’t want to cross any boundaries. He just wants to help her feel better, even if that means taking space.
If that aint love, we don’t know what love is.
2. Beckett Gives Thanks
Just in time for the holiday, Beckett gives an epic ‘Thank You’ of her own. “Thank you for not pushing me,” she tells Castle.
Well, gee. We think he probably deserved that episodes ago, but hey, better late than never.
Plus, it was mostly the humble-yet-sincere way she acknowledged him that made us swoon. Aww-ah!
1. Ya'll Ready For This?
In the final moments of “Kill Shot,” Kate (we feel that’s the more appropriate name to use for her during this uber-vulnerable scene) reveals she’s ready to move on from her mother’s murder.
And, as any Castle fan knows, that means being one step closer to the dawning of the Caskett-actually-IN-a-relationship era.
Heck. Yes. We’re. Ready.
