Each week, we can usually count on Castle for a few good tunes, but the show outdid itself Monday night. From the apartment to the studio to the club, here’s what we heard.

Artist: Tim Myers
Song: "Money ($$$)"

(Buy his music on iTunes)

You heard it when: Old English Butler Reginald followed the trail of one-hundred dollar bills to Jay Hixton’s dead body.

This song worked because: Hixton was a lottery winner, so the money thing made sense. Also, the song is very cheerful, and, occasionally, something cheerful — in this case having millions of dollars at your disposal — can lead to something that’s kind of a drag, like getting shot in the chest.

Myers’ music has been featured on Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty and Private Practice. You can listen to more here.

Artist: The Page Brothers
Song: "Move That Ass (Get On the Floor)"

(Watch this video. Watch it a few times, in fact.)

You heard it when: Beckett & Co. interrupted the Page Brothers’ studio session.

This song worked because: It is lyrically stunning and undeniably catchy. So catchy, in fact, that Beckett tried to learn the ditty on her guitar at the end of the episode (bottle of red wine at her side, natch). Sample lyrics:

Sexy as hell as I come through the door
12 gauge shotgun, get on the floor
Jump on the counter, let off a round
You wet yourself as you hit the ground
Take command with my outside voice
We’re robbin’ this bitch, she ain’t got no choice

Life-long criminals, the Page Brothers relocated from Florida to New York City to beat up a drug dealer as a favor to their friend, a recent lottery winner and murder victim whom they once attempted to rob. They’ve "been bouncin’ tunes ever since."

Artist:  Spank Rock and Benny Blanco
Song: "Loose"
Album: Bangers and Cash

(Buy it on iTunes)

You heard it when: Beckett and Castle went to the club to track down Oz, the drug dealer.

This song worked because: It gave Beckett something to move to as she worked her way over to Oz’s lounge area. Three memorable lines:

She ain’t nothin’ but a hoochie mama
She ain’t nothin’ but a hoochie mama
She ain’t nothin’ but a hoochie mama
