Tonight's all-new hour of Castle was one of the most-hyped episodes of the entire season. For the first time in 10 years, Firefly co-stars Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin were back on the small screen together, kicking ass and taking names. Or, in Nathan's case, more like getting his ass kicked.
In Season 4, Episode 21: "Headhunters," mystery writer Rick Castle learns that the grass isn't always greener in another detective's yard. After riding dirty with notorious gang unit detective Ethan Slaughter, aka the Widow Maker, Castle finally comes to his senses.
All it takes is getting the lights punched out of him, kidnapping a gun-toting thug, and witnessing Slaughter coerce a confession, but Castle eventually realizes how much he misses Kate Beckett — not only as a muse and partner, but also as a friend.
Turns out, the brunette beauty had his back the entire time. Unbeknownst to Castle, she discovers a game-changing piece of evidence — a traffic cam shot proving that Valez couldn't possibly be responsible for offing Glitch. And not only that, she stands up to Slaughter's threat like a champ. Way to channel your anger, Becks!
Sure, a ruthless killer is on the loose and Rick is on Slaughter's sh*t list, but with Castle and Beckett working together again as a team, all feels right in the world.
And all is right. Well, almost.
C&B successfully pin the murder on Glitch's father. Another Castle case closed! Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Caskett's relationship, which continues to be the greatest unsolved mystery of them all.
But little do they know, we have a piece of game-changing evidence: Castle (almost) admits he wants it bad enough to get over being hurt. Smoking gun? We think so.
