Jennifer Beals returns as Sophia Conrad, the sexy CIA operative from Rick Castle's past. Castle and Sophia seem to be over it ... but Beckett sure isn't.
If you're a woman, we know what you're thinking: The best part of Castle Season 4, Episode 16: "Linchpin" is how amazing Detective Kate Beckett's hair looks after almost drowning. So. Not. Fair.
Anyways, back to the movie … er, we mean episode. (Andrew Marlowe wasn't lying when he said Castle's two-part event would feel more like a film than a television show, was he?)
From the epic ticking clock soundtrack to the psychotic Sophia twist, we were on the edge of our seats from the moment Beckett's car plunged into the Hudson River.
It's ultimately a happy ending for the writer and his muse — not to mention the world at large — but the feeling we just can't shake is the look of utter sadness and confusion in Rick Castle's eyes after Martin the Non-Mole shoots Sophia in the back. Could Castle's father really have been in the CIA? We think Pandora's box has officially been opened!
And one more thing: Castle's officially up to lucky number 10 … but who's counting?
