Castle Season 4 Spoiler: Paula Abdul Gets Spoofed in Dance-Themed Episode!

If Castle's recent spoof of Hollywood socialite Kim Kardashian in "An Embarrassment of Bitches" didn't quite quench your thirst for comedy, you're in for a real treat this spring.

Remember when we teased a Dancing With the Stars-themed episode way back in November? Well, the Castle powers-that-be stayed true to their word — on March 19, a gruesome murder takes Rick Castle and Kate Beckett to the set of a reality competition series called A Night of Dance.

And because every reality show needs its resident loony tune, Castle has enlisted soap star Lauralee Bell to play none other than Paula Abdul. Or perhaps we should say, a Paula Abdul-type. 

"She has the huge Morgan Fairchild hair and the fuchsia-colored sequined dress and the big fuchsia lips and the massive rhinestone necklace,"Lauralee tells TV Guide. "And she's over-the-top clueless. At one point, the audience is booing one of her opinions and she thinks they're calling out her name in admiration."

Sounds like the season finale of The X Factor all over again!

Speaking of The X Factor, there's also "Simon Cowell-type judge," who is the executive producer of the show. And as for the third judge? Lauralee says he's totally a Piers Morgan, only French.

Sorry to burst your bubble if you were expecting a Tom Bergeron cameo — his character was already killed back in 2010 when he played a talk show host.
