We hate to even think about the conclusion of Castle Season 5, but unfortunately, the end is near.

Fresh off celebrating their 100th episode (which aired on April 1) the cast must now get ready to shoot the season finale in the coming weeks

According to TV Line, the Season 5 Finale is scheduled to air on Monday, May 13 at 10 p.m. ET, and while we don’t know that much about Season 5’s final episode, show creator Andrew Marlowe has warned fans to have a box of tissues handy.

“We’re looking at a very emotional finale,” he told TV Line a few weeks ago. And while Andrew was his usual cryptic self, he did hint that at least some of the emotion we can expect from the finale comes from a very personal storyline involving one (or more) of the show’s characters.

Apparently, the finale will be “dealing with something very explosive, personally.” Of course Mr. Marlowe didn’t hint at which characters would be affected, but it’s pretty safe to assume that either Castle, Beckett, or both will be impacted in some way.

Could Beckett find out something life-changing about her mother’s murder? Or maybe Castle will be questioning his relationship Beckett?!

Only time will tell! Are you ready for Season 5 to end?
