Castle Season 5 Spoiler: Star Trek Vet to Direct [SPOILER]-Themed Episode

Much to the disappointment of diehard Castle fans everywhere, the cast of ABC's hit crime procedural was absent from this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Although we've since forgiven ABC for focusing on the promotion of new shows, there's still a gaping hole left in our hearts from the lack of Castle-related shenanigans in Room 6BCF.

But thanks to a recent spoiler from TVLine, our void is slowly dissipating. The website confirms that not only will there be a Comic-Con-themed episode in Season 5, but it will also be directed by Star Trek veteran Jonathan Frakes.

Scheduled to air this fall, the episode dives headfirst into a "world of egotistic celebrities, diehard fans, and enough drama for two galaxies."

In other words, right up our alleys.

Although it won't completely make up for Castle's geekfest no-show, we'll take what we can get. But is it too much to ask to see Kate Beckett in costume?
