Castle Season 5 Spoiler: Will There Be a Christmas Episode?

Kate Beckett may have stopped believing in Santa Claus when she was just 3 years old, but that doesn't mean she can't get into the holiday spirit this year. And now that she's coupled up and in love with a certain ruggedly handsome mystery writer, we smell romance.

And mistletoe! And perhaps even some chestnuts roasting on an open fire.

According to a new spoiler from E! Online, we'll be treated to our very first Castle Christmas! The episode, appropriately titled "Secret Santa," will feature a "very romantic setup" for Castle and Beckett.

For Caskett 'shippers — many of whom have been gunning for a holiday-themed episode for ages — it's truly a Christmas miracle. Last fall, show writer Terri Miller told fans she was working on an Xmas ep for Season 4, but it fell through the cracks due to a scheduling issue.

And when a fan questioned her again this past August, she didn't seem too optimistic. "Maybe. It's been discussed. There are a number of factors involved," she wrote on Twitter.

Looks like the powers that be finally heard our prayers! It pays to be good all year round.
