The last few episode of Castle Season 4 have been complete and utter agony for us Caskett 'shippers.

Ever since Castle overheard Beckett's bombshell confession — that she remembers everything from the day she was shot, including Castle's proclamation of love — in Episode 19, "47 Seconds," we've been waiting with bated breath for some type of resolution.

To say that Rick Castle has disappointed us is an understatement. Not only has the mystery writer failed to confront Beckett about her lie, but he's also punishing his detective muse by fraternizing with other cops and gallivanting with flight attendants. How very mature.

Although Rick appears to be reverting to his old, womanizing ways, show creator Andrew Marlowe is here to assure us otherwise. All this brooding bookworm needs is a bit of good, old-fashioned fun, which he'll get plenty of in tonight's zombie-themed episode, "Undead Again."

“It pushes Beckett and Castle to this place where, despite themselves and despite how they’re feeling about each other, they recapture a lot of fun of their relationship — and they have to deal with being confronted with that,” Marlowe told TV Line.

But at the same time, it seems like Castle might finally realize that real life isn't always fun and games, especially when it comes to having healthy, adult relationships.

“Castle has to confront his own behavior… and decide whether he can go on like this, if that’s the person he wants to be," Marlowe adds.

Is Rick Castle finally ready to grow up?!
