Castle and Beckett may have gotten themselves in too deep with this caper.
There are just eight more episodes before Castle Season 4 draws to a close, and while our crime-solving twosome have certainly proven themselves as top-notch detectives, Castle and Beckett haven't really experienced any game-changing moments.
If you're getting frustrated with this season's lack of forward motion, just be patient, says show creator Andrew Marlowe, because something big will happen before the end of the two-part episode.
"Hang on to the end, because we have a couple of surprises in store," he tells TV Guide. "There's a revelation about Castle that should be interesting for fans."
Don't worry — as far as we know, Marlowe will not put us through the torture of introducing another Sophia Turner; however, you should prepare yourself to meet someone else from the writer's past — his father.
"We hear it's connected to the mystery surrounding Castle's absent father — who may have had a behind-the-scenes role in his son's future successes," TV Guide muses.
Future successes, as in solving the murder of Joanna Beckett? That would be interesting!
