full size Jon Huertas Arrives at the Battleship Premiere in Los Angeles on May 10, 2012

It’s summertime, and while that’s awesome, we’re still admittedly disappointed that Castle’s off the air. But as it turns out, the Castle crew are putting their idle time to good use and many of them are still hard at work on side projects to keep us (well, and them) occupied.

On-screen bro-kick Jon Huertas (Esposito) has been particularly busy this summer putting together a new web-series called El Gato Blanco. A fresh dramedy based on The White Tiger, Huertas both created and stars in the action-packed web-only show.

But he’s not alone: Shay Carl plays Jon’s overzealous archrival and sassy Amy Gumenick sexes up the series as the gato’s object of affection.

Full of gasps and laughs, El Gato Blanco’s pilot ep is available for view on YouTube and Huertas is encouraging fans to scope the vid and share it with friends.

And as if you needed any more incentive to watch than seeing Huertas suited up as a feline, the actor is even offering a Digital Comic Book Cover signed by himself and comic book artist Jay Sean to fans if the vid hits 50,000 subscribers. We’ll just consider that a bonus.
