Castle star Molly Quinn set the bar extremely high last year when she arrived at San Diego Comic-Con dressed as Captain Mal Reynolds from Firefly. For the laypeople, that was Nathan Fillion's character on the short-lived (but beloved) Joss Whedon series, which aired for one season back in 2002.

We got the chance to speak with Molly at the convention, and she revealed that her Firefly costume took weeks and weeks of planning. "I definitely put in time," she dished. "But it was worth everything."

So what does the ginger-haired cutie have up her sleeve this year? While she didn't go into explicit detail about her ensemble, she did tease her Twitter fans with a picture of some serious artillery.

"40cal. WWI shell casings :)" she wrote. Hmmm … any guesses, Castle fans?

Whatever the costume is, Molly seems happy with it — but you may be surprised to know it wasn't her first choice.

"If Castle had a panel I was probably going 2 come out n one of my 2 1940's Castle outfits&make-up. Meh," she posted, along with a picture in full-on Sally Scoffield attire from Season 4, Episode 17: "The Blue Butterfly."

That's a costume we'd kill to see — with or without a Castle panel! Are you reading this, Molly?
