We don’t know much about Mr. Smith, the mysterious man Captain Montgomery mailed his top secret files to before his untimely demise.

However, we do know this: In Castle's Season 4 finale, the elusive (and, we assume, pretty evil) Cole Maddox shows up at Mr. Smith’s doorstep, asks for all the "sensitive information" pertaining to his employer, and threatens to put Kate Beckett “in the ground once and for all."

But what if scary sniper-dude took out Mr. Smith, too? Right then and there?

Well, it wouldn’t really matter if Mr. Smith was dead or alive, except that he’s potentially the only human with a heartbeat with any 411 on Johanna Beckett’s murder — and how to keep Beckett alive.

The Season 4 finale left much to the imagination (and not just when it comes to Mr. Smith’s mortality. Ahem, hot Caskett hookup!), but today we wanna know what you, dear Castle junkies, think about the finale cliffhanger scene showing Mr. Smith’s shocking visitor.

Did Mr. Smith refuse to turn over the information, prompting Cole to put him in the ground once and for all, or are we just letting our imaginations run away with us (again)?
