Last week, Wetpaint Entertainment spoke with Castle star Jon Huertas about his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly over New York City with the Blue Angels. While we had him on the line, we couldn't help but ask about his opinion about Castle and Beckett's much-hyped hookup in the Season 4 finale.
"My DVR cut off the end of the show, I don't even know what happens because I didn't read the script," he said, followed by a quick, "Just kidding!"
All joking aside, Jon is pleased with show creator Andrew Marlowe's decision to have the couple finally act on their feelings for each other.
"I think I've always said that they should hop in bed and just do it, do it. See what happens," he said. "I think it was the right time, definitely."
In fact, Jon believes that waiting any longer would have ruined the momentum of the show.
"Stringing the audience along for too long would actually kill the show before putting them together. It would kill the show. People get tired of that, tired of the back and forth, and the will-they-or-won't-they idea," he said.
"Nobody wants to keep watching that. I wouldn't want to keep watching that. I'm an audience member also, and I watch for the pure entertainment of it sometimes, so I wouldn't want to sit there and keep watching these two play tennis with their emotions."
We couldn't have said it better ourselves, Jon!
