Raise your hand if you want more Richard Castle books in your life! General-interest publisher Hyperion has just announced plans to release three original eBook novellas in the best-selling Derrick Storm series from prestigious crime writer Rick Castle later this year. Score!

The summer will get off to grand, thunderous start when A Brewing Storm, the first eBook about the cunning former CIA operative, hits the Interwebz May 2012, followed by two other currently untitled novellas which will debut in July and August.

The author who writes under the fictional TV character’s name — whoever he or she may be — recently commented on the eBook deal spawned from the award-winning books:

"While consulting with the NYPD on a recent case, I was inspired to re-examine the circumstances around the death of my beloved character Derrick Storm. It turns out, there was much more to the story than met the eye. I'm excited to be working with Hyperion to bring Derrick Storm fans a brand new adventure of mystery, action and intrigue."

President and Publisher of Hyperion Ellen Archer announced the eBook arrangement, calling it a “proud moment” for Hyperion. (Um, duh)
