One thing’s for sure: Richard Castle’s one busy — and talented — dude. To date, the novelist-turned-detective has written four real-life bestsellers, along with a host (read: 20+) of other fictional titles. During Season 1, Episode 9: "Little Girl Lost," we’re told Castle has written 26 bestsellers before the start of the show!

But since no man is an island, Rick Castle couldn’t have done it without a little help from his friends. He knows it, too — Rick often dedicates his books to his nearest and dearest.

Wanna know to whom Mr. Castle attributes his various successes? Of course you do! Here’s a look at Rick Castle’s book dedications. Warning: Get ready to ‘aww’ more than once!

Castle’s second (fictional) book is titled A Rose for Everafter, and the dedication reads “For Kyra Blaine, you make the stars shine.’”

Who’s Kyra Blaine? She was Castle’s college sweetheart, of course — an adorable lil' lady he dated for three years, although the duo parted shortly after graduation.

In Season 2, Episode 12, aptly titled “A Rose for Everafter,” it was revealed that Rick and Kyra met just after his first novel, A Hail of Bullets, was published. Castle and Kyra (played by guest star Alyssa Milano) share one last kiss before Kyra finally lets him go. "He's all yours," she tells Beckett.

The first novel in the Nikki Heat series, Heat Wave (September 29, 2009) is dedicated "to the extraordinary KB and all my friends at the 12th.” Tres touching!

The dedication in Nikki Heat novel no. 2 Naked Heat (April 26, 2011) reads: “To the real Nikki Heat, with gratitude.” We’re gonna go out on a limb here and say he means Kate Beckett, and not Natalie Rhodes, the actress who played Nikki Heat in the movie based on the novels on the TV show. (Got all that?)

In fact, there’s only one Nikki Heat novel that doesn’t acknowledge the one-and-only Miss Beckett, and that’s the third, and most current, Heat Rises (September 20, 2011).

That dedication reads: “To Captain Roy Montgomery, NYPD. He made a stand and taught me all I need to know about bravery and character.” You can say that again.
