Seamus Dever Teases Another Detective Ryan-Centric Episode in Castle Season 5

We don't know about you guys, but we absolutely loved seeing Detective Kevin Ryan get his moment in the spotlight in Castle Season 4, Episode 4: "Kick in the Ballistics."

There were many memorable moments, but the one we're still reeling over is when Ryan stood face-to-face in the interrogation room with Philip Lee, who used Ryan's stolen gun to kill Jane Herzfeld. We almost forgot to breathe.

Although we're most looking forward to Castle and Beckett's budding romance in Season 5, we can't ignore Castle's myriad of other complex characters, namely the charming and somewhat mysterious Kevin Ryan. Which begs the questions: Will there be another Ryan-centric episode this season?

"There's talk of it," actor Seamus Dever dished to TVFanatic.com. "Yeah, I hope so. I think it would be a lot of fun."

As Seamus points out, there's still a lot we don't know about his character.

"It's always great to sort of explore the past of a character and there's still a lot to explore for Ryan that hasn't been revealed. We hope it fits in there," he continues.

"In my dream of dreams we'd all have our nice, breakout episode where we learn a little bit more about each of the characters but that isn't always a possibility. We'll see what happens."
