Get ready to see the 12th precinct from a completely new perspective, Castle fans.

In Monday night's episode, appropriately titled "Swan Song," a musician named James Swan is found dead — but this isn't your average murder investigation. A film crew that was following James's rock band starts taping Castle and Beckett! The result is a show within a show that gives the audience a front-row seat as the detectives put the pieces together — and speak directly to the cameras!

Check out the official show synopsis via ABC:

"When the lead guitarist of a rock band is murdered, the documentary crew that were following the band turn their cameras on Castle, Beckett, and the team as they try to solve the case. The result is a documentary-style episode, which offers us a unique glimpse at our characters as they navigate a world that goes far beyond the rock & roll stage."

Guest stars include C. Thomas Howell as John Campbell, Andrew J. West as Keith Blue, Max Arcinega as Billy Bash, Chris Coy as Zeke, Hunter Jackson as James Swan, Sarah Scott as Butterfly, Daniel Roebuck as Joe Silva.
