We know it’s ironic — top OMG moments about an episode of Castle involving “sci-fi murder at a sci-fi convention.” But beyond the space odyssey and fully functioning laser blasters, we've rounded up a few moments for you to check out. Here are our top OMG picks for Castle Season 5, Episode 6: “The Final Frontier.”

4. Sci-fi Geeks Don’t Scream at a Dead Body

In fact, the Nebula 9 fan experience-goers hardly react at all when they notice that inside the oracle pod was a non-living human. Maybe with all the creepy creavers and such roaming around SuperNovaCon, a dead body might be the tamest of them all.

3. No One Knew Beckett Was a Sci-Fi Junkie!

You think you know a person. But for such a superfan, no one had any clue Beckett even remotely liked Nebula 9. Beckett clearly knew Castle loves himself some Star Wars (life-sized Boba Fett?), but Beckett must have hidden her gear deep into the bellows of her closet.

2. Even Castle Has Limits With Beckett!

And to think, we thought Beckett could wear a potato sack and Castle would still want to play sexytime! Turns out that’s not true. Castle’s libido ran away faster than Usain Bolt when his lovely other half appeared in a scary sci-fi mask, wanting to snog a bit. Hilarious moment, but poor Castle. He might be scarred for a few minutes.

1. All the Sci-Fi References!

From “shiny” to an amazing William Shatner impression to a Jonathan Fakes cameo, Castle blew us away with its jam-packed sci-fi references — most notably paying homage to Nathan Fillion's past life on "that Joss Whedon show," Firefly. But we also caught nods to Star Trek, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings, in addition to others. Everyone’s inner-geek says thank you.
