As tried-and-true Castle fans, we here at Wetpaint Entertainment are pretty convinced we know all there is to know about lead cutie Nathan Fillion (Castle) … but what about you? We cooked up this list of “facts” about the adorkable actor — but one of them is total BS.
Think you can figure out where we told our big fib? Get out your clickin’ fingers, Fillion fans. It’s truth-tellin’ time!
1. Nathan starred in not one, but two soap operas! Most Fillion fans know about Nathan’s days as Joey Buchanan on One Life to Live, but not everybody knows he also starred in an obscure live-action, completely improvised soap, Die Nasty.
2. Nathan’s a certified fencing coach! Not unlike his on-screen daughter Alexis, Nathan Fillion is a master fencer — and has the credentials to prove it. Shortly after Nathan moved to New York City and in between filming his soap One Life to Live in 1994, he attended classes at the Brooklyn Fencing Center in his spare time. Since then Nathan’s clocked over 500 hours of fencing time with top-notch coaches — and now has a certificate to train on his own. Good to know, in case he gets tired of sucking face with Stana Katic (Beckett). (As if!)
3. Nathan occasionally wears a kilt! Find it hard to believe the nerdy Nathan dabbles in traditional Scottish dress? Didn’t think so. The 41-year-old actor has been snapped on several occasions — including once on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and once at a star-studded movie premiere — rocking the pleated garment (and without so much as a hint of awkwardness.) That’s our manly man!
