Richard Castle and Kate Beckett shared their first real kiss in Castle's Season 4 finale … and what a kiss it was!

"Beckett, what do you want"? Castle asked, when a rain-soaked Kate washed up at his doorstep. "You," she responded, looking up at the mystery writer with bedroom eyes. And as they say, the rest is history! Relive the magic below...

But this isn't the first time our so-in-love leads have locked lips …

In Season 3, Episode 13: "Knockdown," Castle and Beckett disguised themselves as a pair of drunk lovers to bypass a guard. When Beckett realized the guard wasn't buying it, she reached for her gun, but Castle had a better plan. He took the detective's face in his hands, looked her square in the eyes, and went in for a kiss. She balked at first, but quickly went back for seconds.

The two shared an embrace so titillating that we almost forgot it was a meant as a decoy.  And apparently, so did Castle. "That was amazing!" he gasped, before following the detective inside.

In Season 4, Episode 14: "The Blue Butterfly," Castle and Beckett's 1940s alter egos, Joe and Vera, shared a kiss so hot it could have sparked a fire.

After escaping from ruthless club owner Tom Dempsey, the happy couple ran off to start their new life together. But Dempsey's sweet-talking, gun-wielding daughter Sally popped in to exact her revenge. A scuffle ensued, and the gun went off. Sally accidentally shot her husband! When Vera reached for the gun, it went off again, killing Sally. Joe and Vera hid their bodies inside a car and sent it up in flames.

"Tell me you love me, Joe," Vera said as the fire raged behind them. "Always," he replied, as the lovers kissed and wandered off into the night.
