Why Castle and Beckett Had the Hottest "First Time" Hookup in TV History

Truth: We’re still reeling from Castle and Beckett’s super hot season finale hookup. Although we didn’t see the actual consummation, between Beckett’s wet hair, whispered confessions, and sensual tongue kisses, we know that whatever happened in Castle’s boudoir was ten kinds of magical.

But alas, Caskett is hardly the first TV couple to ever get it on. So, just prove just how awesome Caskett’s first time truly was, let’s take a look at a few other steamy TV hookups in recent history and determine how the crime fighter’s finale romp stacks up!

1. Buffy and Spike Tear Down the House, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Nobody can deny the hotness that occurred when Buffy and her nemesis, vile vamp Spike, finally got it on. The breakout villain and the good-girl-gone-bad literally tore the house down in Season 6, Episode 9: “Smashed." What began as a violent fight scene between the starcrossed-savants quickly turned into a hardcore sex scene!

Buffy kissed Spike, who then threw the blonde beaut against the wall as the house started crumbling around them.

Sadly, the next day Buffy was super angry with herself for (literally) sleeping with the enemy.

Winner: Caskett. While the detective darling may feel a little awkward, Beckett surely won’t have the level of morning after regret that comes from swapping spit with the other side. Not. At. All.

2. Blair and Chuck’s Limo Liplock, Gossip Girl

Everyone was stoked when fated lovers Chuck and Blair got hot n’ heavy in the backseat of a limo in Season 1, Episode 7: "Victor/Victrola." Chuck called the glammed-up Upper East Sider “amazing” and that’s all it took for the twosome to start rolling around in the back of the limo like pigs in the mud.

Winner: Caskett. While we guess it was sort of sweet that Blair handed over her V-card to the guy we all know she should end up with, let’s be real: They did it in a limo — not exactly the classiest place to say you lost it. Eesh.

3. Sookie and Eric Butt-Naked in the Woods, True Blood:

Southern belle Sookie Stackhouse’s first hookup with Sheriff Eric was undeniably wild — er, in the wild, that is.

Although Sookie originally hated the arrogant stud, Eric went through a brief period of memory loss from a witch's’ spell and the usually heartless man became all super sweet. Eric was able to lure Sookie into not only falling in love, but also got her to bare it all the first time they ever had sex in the woods one moonlit night. Thanks to HBO, viewers even got a glimpse of Eric’s tush as the dirt-covered lovers got it on. Ow ow!

Winner: Caskett. TB gets one point for actual nudity, but let’s not forget Sookie and Eric’s relationship started while he was under a spell. The Eric Sookie fell in love with? So not the real deal.

4. Ross and Rachel Under the Stars, Friends

Ross and Rachel may be the cutest friends-turned-lovers ever. Ross and the sexy coffee waitress had sex for the first time underneath the "stars" — fake, planetarium style stars — in a totally adorkable scene in Season 2, Episode 15. 

But, as expected, R-Squared’s first time was full of fumbles. Rachel almost choked Ross with his tie, and later thought he — you know — before they even got their clothes off. Turned out, Rachel only accidentally rolled over a juicebox from their dinner. Whew!

Winner: Caskett. Come on. Beckett would never take Castle for a one-minute man. Even Andrew Marlowe agrees.
