Remember when Castle star Stana Katic told TV Line that Jenny and Ryan's wedding would foreshadow things to come for Kate Beckett and Richard Castle?

Well, as much as we'd like to see Caskett tie the knot for real, something tells us Stana was referring to their 1940s counterparts in Monday's all-new episode, "The Blue Butterfly."

“What fans will see is probably the fulfillment of what most any fan would like to see happen with the Castle and Beckett relationship," she dished to TV Guide.

"Fans will be seeing the ultimate expression of love for those two characters."

At first, we thought Stana was referring to, you know, a consummating roll in the hay. And how can you blame us? Those two have been teasing us for almost four years now!

As much as we'd love a steamy Caskett sex scene, we've pulled our heads out of the gutter just long enough to revisit Stana's comment. Could she have been referring to a Castle and Beckett betrothal?!

It sounds more likely, especially considering how quickly relationships moved back in those days. "As in most stories from the '40," Stana teased to TV Guide, "it takes about four days for them to be crazy in love."

So what say you, Castle fans? Will 1940s Castle and Beckett run off together and elope? And if they do, is that enough?

If it means Castle's fantasizing about a life with Beckett — albeit a fictional life in 1947 — we're going to say yes. For now.
