As if the chance to see Stana Katic (Beckett) bust out the waterworks isn’t enough to get you to cancel all your Monday night plans to tune into tonight’s Castle (as if you had any others), “Kill Shot” also boasts an epic performance from Jon Huertas (Esposito) as he tries to help his partner tackle her PTSD. Score!

As Katic points out in an interview with TVLine, we already know “the boys and Beckett have a great relationship, but this episode in particular showcases the Esposito-and-Beckett relationship — how much they care for each other, and how much of an asset he is to her.”

She continues: “Beckett’s able to rely on [him] as a friend and as a person that can mentor her through that experience. It’s a deep, dark fear, a big demon she has to face down.” What do you think about this new dynamic? Tell us on Facebook.

Katic calls tonight’s exchange between the two partners a “special experience” and a “sweet development” to their story.

“In so many cases you’re only as good as your partner, and he brings it this episode,” she shares.

We can’t wait to see it!
