True Blood Casts Bunheads Star Nathan Parsons to Replace Luke Grimes
True Blood fans, rejoice — the show’s final season will have a hot James after all: former Bunheads star Nathan Parsons. TVLine reports the handsome ABC Family hunk, who played the sexy bartender Godot on the recently canceled series, is taking over the role for the show’s seventh and final season.
Luke Grimes — the original James — asked to be cut loose from his contract due to his disappointment with the direction of his character next season. In a controversial move, The Powers That Be behind the HBO series decided to recast the role rather than scrapping it all together.
While it’s yet to be revealed whether we will be disappointed with the storyline that awaits the ridiculously good-looking vampire Jessica hooked up with at Vamp Camp in Season 6., we can report that it will involve a “surprising love triangle.” After Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten), we’re not sure any romantic relationship on this show could surprise us, but we’re ready to be proven wrong.
If you’re worried you’ll never see Luke’s angelic face again, don’t worry. He’s got plenty of movies in the works, including Fifty Shades of Grey, where he’ll play Christian Grey’s brother Elliot.
