Warning: you may need to grab a box of Kleenex and a bowl of chicken Alfredo before you watch the clip. We’ve got our girl Cate covered under an enormous blanket, crying her eyes out. When Ty comes in to check on her, things don’t go too well.
First off, Ty tells Cate while he knows that he isn’t ready to get married, he also believes that Catelynn isn’t ready either and that she only “thinks” she’s ready. Catelynn’s rebuttal?
“Well then why did you frickin’ propose to me so young?”
Ty goes on to say that at the time he proposed, he was genuinely ready for marriage, but as the wedding draws nearer, he hasn’t been as sure. Furthermore, Ty feels that it’s a good thing to tell Cate how he felt now, versus 15 years after they’ve gotten hitched when their marriage faces serious problems.
Ty's epiphany obviously puts Cate in a deeper emotional rut.
“You don’t know if you don’t want to be with me for the rest of your life?” Cate asks Ty.
“No, I don’t know,” he tells her honestly. Cate then asks Ty to leave the room, where she continues to cry over the news.
Sigh. While we all had to live through that emotional scene between the two, we know for a fact that things get better. These two just celebrated their 9-year anniversary with a romantic vacay in the woods are more in love than ever.
