The Voice 2013: Cee Lo Green and Season 4 Mentors Return to Advise Top 10
Though original Voice coach Cee Lo Green is still in talks to return to the hit show in Season 5 (airing this fall), the “Crazy” singer definitely can’t keep away from The Voice stage. Last week he performed his new single “Only You” with Season 2 finalist Juliet Simms and on May 20, he will visit the set once again.
In last night’s live results show, host Carson Daly announced that battle round mentors Hillary Scott, Pharrell Williams, and Sheryl Crow would be returning to advise the Top 10. And since Team Shakira’s advisor, Joel Madden, is currently filming The Voice Australia, Papa Cee Lo will be stepping in to help out.
It was also just announced that TBS has picked up a new reality show about Cee Lo and the rap group Goodie Mob for a six-episode run. Combined with his Las Vegas residency, penning his memoir, and producing new music, we’re not sure when Cee Lo will have the time to take his place in The Voice chair.
Pop diva Christina Aguilera has reportedly signed on to the show for a salary of about $17 million, but Cee Lo is still in talks.
