Kaley Cuoco, Ron Howard, and More Celebrities React to James Garner’s Passing on Twitter (VIDEO)
Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and a slew of other celebrities took to Twitter over the weekend to pay their respects to James Garner, who passed away on Saturday due to natural causes.
"I say this with a heavy broken heart.was an honor working beside u receiving ur bear hugs every day," Kaley tweeted and added a picture of her with co-stars from the ABC series she had previously starred in with David Spade. "(Love) u Grampa Jim."
New York Daily News reports that Kaley was one of the first celebrities to tweet out a message regarding James's death; however, more tweeted out their condolences as the weekend continued.
Robert Patrick, a co-star of James's from the movie Fire in the Sky, tweeted, "R.I.P. James Garner. Class, talent, gentleman. Honored to work with you sir. May light perpetual shine upon you!"
Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook, also offered his condolences.
"RIP to a legend. James Garner was both a kind man and gifted actor," Nicholas wrote on Twitter. "It was an honor to work with him on #TheNotebook. He will be missed."
Ron Howard also added, "RIP James Garner. Admired by all who knew him. When starring in Grand Prix the people around F1 said he had the talent to be a pro driver."
