The Middle star Chris Kattan is facing a DUI charge after he allegedly drove everywhere other than the middle of his lane on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley this morning (February 10).

TMZ reports that a motorist on the freeway spotted Chris's Mercedes "weaving all over the roadway at slow speeds" and alerted the California Highway Patrol.

Then, Chris allegedly swerved into a closed area of the freeway and rear-ended a Department of Transportation vehicle. Luckily, Chris wasn't injured and no one was in the DOT vehicle at the time.

TMZ touts that the 43-year-old seemed "out of it" and that he confessed to having taken prescription medications. The cops arrested him and booked him for DUI.

After cutting his comedic teeth as part of the Los Angeles improv troupe The Groundlings, Chris got his big break in 1996 when he joined the ranks of Saturday Night Live.

In his seven seasons on the NBC sketch show, he impersonated everyone from Ricky Martin to Queen Elizabeth II to Bill Gates — and created memorable characters like Mr. Peepers and Mango.

After SNL, Chris starred on the ABC sitcom The Middle as Bob Weaver, a co-worker of Frankie Heck (Patricia Heaton).

On the silver screen, Chris starred in films like A Night at the Roxbury, Corky Romano, and Undercover Brother.

We're hoping Chris gets any help he might need — and we're relieved this incident didn't have a worse outcome.
