The-Dream may “Luv Your Girl,” but it looks like he doesn’t love his own. According to TMZ, the rapper turned himself in to the police early May 7 after an alleged assault on his ex-girlfriend. He’s been booked for two felonies — assault and strangulation — but what does his rep have to say about the whole ordeal?

“Dream voluntarily surrendered to the Midtown North Precinct this morning in order to responsibly address the false allegations filed against him by Lydia Nam,” a rep for Dream told TMZ. “He is innocent of the charges filed against him today.”

Apparently the rapper walked into the NYPD precinct office around 8:30 a.m. with the police wanting to question him in connection to the alleged assault of Lydia, his baby mama, back in April 2013.

Lydia claims that she was punched, kicked, and strangled while pregnant with Dream’s son. The only weird thing? She didn’t report the incident to the cops until 7 months later.

According to NYPD, Dream is still in custody and has been booked for three misdemeanors — assault, reckless endangerment, and child endangerment — in addition to the two felonies.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens next!
