Ever heard of the TLC show Cheer Perfection? It’s the one about young cheerleaders in Arkansas making their way in the world of competitive cheerleading, but unfortunately, it’s making headlines these days for a much darker story.

Andrea Clevenger, mother of Cheer Perfection star Kylie, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy.

The 34-year-old has pled guilty to sexual assault and engaging a child in sexually explicit conduct in a visual or print medium, reports TMZ. She was arrested back in January after two felony warrants were issued for her arrest. Andrea assaulted the boy in her home and in her car; they also texted sexually explicit photos to one another.

Those photos are what the teen’s parents saw last November and led to their calling the authorities. Aside from her jail sentence, Andrea is forbidden to have any contact with the boy and has to register as a sex offender.

At the time of Andrea’s arrest in January, TLC released the following statement: “TLC doesn’t have a comment. Regarding the series, the network made the decision a few months ago not to order more episodes, and we do not air the show in repeats.”
