Accio tissue! Emma Watson and her boyfriend of two years, Will Adamowicz, are no longer an item. The couple, who met at Oxford, “separated last summer and are no longer in touch," according to a rep (via Us Weekly).

The former Harry Potter actress and her boyfriend went public in April 2012, having connected several months earlier during a study abroad program at Oxford. (Aside: How funny is it that Emma came to the U.S. to attend Brown University, only to be an exchange student for a semester in her native country?)

While no reason was given for the split, it could be a simple case of a college romance running its course. The Perks of Being a Wallflower star is set to graduate from her Ivy League alma mater this year, having taken a brief break from academics to return to acting.

As Hollyscoop suggests, it may also be that Emma’s busy life doesn’t have room for romance right now. Eager to complete her English degree, she is in “high demand” for acting work as well, and has even turned down a few roles in order to devote herself to her studies. Between filming, schoolwork (if she’s majoring in English, she likely has hundreds of pages a week to read and digest), it wouldn’t be a surprise if her relationship with Will was an unfortunate casualty of her hectic schedule.

Still, we can’t be too sad for Em. She’s rich, gorgeous, and as brilliant as Hermione — we’re pretty sure this girl will only be a wallflower for as long as she wants to be.
