Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton may have called it quits this week, but Robin’s got an excellent support system: his fans. And now, Robin is speaking out for the first time since their breakup was made public to thank them for everything they’ve done for him at such a difficult time.
“I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days. My fans mean everything to me,” Robin wrote on his official website. “I’m looking forward to getting back out on the road and performing in Washington DC this Thursday, and the rest of the tour. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!”
Robin really does have some amazing fans, considering the amount of understanding that’s been required from his concertgoers. He canceled three concerts on his “Blurred Lines” tour this week due to “unforeseen circumstances,” but we have a feeling the shows were nixed in light of his separation from Paula. And can we blame the guy? He obviously needed a little downtime while dealing with the dissolution of a nine year marriage — even if their split is being described as amicable.
Paula and Robin married in 2005 after meeting as teens at an under-21 dance club. In 2010, they welcomed their son, Julian Fuego Thicke.
We think getting back out there on stage will do Robin good — the busier he keeps himself, the better. Twerk on!
